TRAINING PROGRAMS
ROSE STATE COLLEGE'S ACADEMY PROVIDES A DYNAMIC TRAINING PROGRAM
The Rose State College Academy was established to provide specialized training programs for businesses and governmental agencies located in Eastern Oklahoma County. The Academy provides general and customized instruction in a variety of disciplines including such areas as customer service, teamwork, coaching employees, computer and Internet training, marketing, and retailing.
The Academy offers training, on campus or on-site in seven key areas:
Leadership Conferences
Military Education Program
Education In-Service Institute
Professional Certification Institute
Seminar & Convention Speakers Services
Employee Professional Development

VO-TECH OKLAHOMA'S COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE IN COMPANY TRAINING PROGRAMS
The State Department of Vocational/Technical Training, through the Mid-Del Vo-Tech, offers a wide range of services for all businesses. The Training for Industry Program (TIP) includes everything industry needs to become more profitable and productive when locating or expanding in Midwest City. This program is free or low-cost to qualifying industries, including free safety training to help lower the cost of workers compensation.
Since 1968, Oklahoma Vo-Tech has had one of the best company start-up programs in the world. Over the past 20+ years, they have worked with 500+ companies and over 50,000 employees. Training is available at the jobsite or in the classroom.
Other services to industry include:

- Self-Employment Training
- Management Development Programs
- Bid Assistance Centers
JOB TRAINING PARTNERSHIP ACT (JTPA)
The Oklahoma County Office of Employment and Training administers the JTPA programs. These programs are directed to saving employers time and money by providing a comprehensive approach to the development of a productive workforce. The labor cost savings and other special benefits to employers include:

- Testing
- Screening
- Financial Incentives
QUALITY OF WORKFORCE
Local employers have found the people in the area appreciate industry and the jobs it provides. Employees are hard working and productive. They are seldom absent and have a good attitude toward their jobs.
General Motors Assembly Division has been honored for being the most productive plant in the nation. They attribute that to the excellent work ethic of their local employees.
Midwest City workers find they have less stress because they are able to live near their place of employment and go to and from work with ease.
